When I first started going to the gym, I was terrified. I thought everyone would be watching me- I had no idea what I was doing so just wanted to avoid it. I was never the athletic one, never the tall and skinny model type and definitely never the confident one. One day my high school sweetheart (now husband) dragged me with him to the gym, and I fell in love with the way it made me feel. I loved the way it let me escape everything else going on in life and how it made me feel strong and energized. My favorite thing about fitness? That there is something new to learn and always something to improve at. Being confident in who you are means no one can tell you what you can't do. When you believe in yourself you can accomplish anything.

I started working in a gym in the fall of my freshman year of college, and became a trainer there the following March. I have been a trainer for over 6 years, and I have loved every second of it. There's something special about the transition of seeing someone come in hating everything about themselves to coming in gaining strength and confidence. My goal in this is to help everyone look and feel their best- no matter how that looks to you!
